Unable to print using both printer trays?

Specs: Windows Xp Pro
OS: Windows Xp Pro
Computer: HP RP5000

I require help where i have a lexmark E360 mono laser printer and it only prints from the bottom tray. I use the printer for plain paper in the bottom tray and the top tray has invoice paper.

This problem is not a hardware problem as i have had an engineer swapped the printer and the same problem with the new printer.

I know the correct drivers are installed and the configurations are set to print correctly. I have one printer device and 2 printer installed within windows xp, this work perfectly on my other 2 computers but this one does not want to print from the top.

I have attempted a number of things and then noticed when i Remote Desktop (RDP) to the computer from home or any other computer both tray works together like my other computers. So the issue im having is locally (user profile does not have full admin rights).

I have attempted to delete the user profile and to allow windows to load a new profile but still no hope. I cannot swap the computer nor install a new one as it will cost far too much in doing so.

Please help, If you require further info please ask. Thank You.

Start > Printers and Faxes.

Right click on your printer & select Properties. Security > Advanced. You will now have to look for something that dos'nt look right, or look in one of the other comps to compare.

Googling should help, key words something like this > printer user profile permission
