Received new ADSL Modem, but unable to load the driver for it, no matter what I try it still says that there is an error for this driver. I have been to the manufacters web site, and downloaded the latest driver, but still no joy. Many thanks in advance.

What's the error code?

Have you tried installing it in safe mode?

Go in under safe mode and remove it from "Device Manager" and confirm it's removal and then click "Scan for hardware changes"

No error codes, just " unable to continue set-up" , will try safe mode now, but what is causing this driver issue?

What I do when I get those is a little involved. But it works.
I remove the device from the device manager.
I shut down and remove the device and boot back up.
I then run crap cleaner. Turn on all functions and run all the features. www.majorgeeks.com
Then go back and reinstall the drivers with out the device being physically hooked up.
Shut down and install the device.
Boot back up.
Xp will see the device and install it using the drivers you installed.
Reboot.
I hate it when that happens.
