hi. i am am trying to fix my brothers computer and i cant get to the desktop.when windows loads up i get a blue screen saying-unable to load device driver \system root\system32\drivers\Mxlw2k.sys error status 0xc0000102. i pesonaly use windows 98 so im not too familier with xp.BTW this has nothing to do with the question but how do i run msconfig in xp?i typed it in run and nothing showed up.thanks

Try running in safe mode. to do so when the comp starts, hit F8

Well my solution, junk ur HD and get a new 1 with a new Xp

Have you tried booting to "Last known good configuration"? It will show up on the same menu as Safe Mode. If that doesn't work I would try a repair install from the Windows XP install CD. Be advised you may have to reinstall any service packs afterwards.
