I bought a HP All-in-One and I had serious problems installing it. After hours on the phone with HP tech support walking me through a billion steps ( permission changes, ect) I finally got it to install. Ever since I haven't been able to install anything. I always get the following error: The Installshield Engine (ikernel.exe)could not be launched. No such interface supported. This happens even when trying to install an ikernel driver update & windows updates. How do I fix this?

run the system file checker from start run hit start > run and type sfc /scannow make sure there is a space between sfc and / hopefully that will replace any windows files that are missing

Thanks for the suggestion! I just ran it but it didn't help - I still get the same error. Any other ideas?
