Hi, one of my friend said that she is unable to download things from the net. However, she can access the net. The weird thing is that she is unable to download anything.

The file download dialogue box would not come out, and the web page that she tries to download from will say page is unavailable.

Anyone know what is wrong? Her OS is WinXP Home.

Is she on the administrater account? XP default will not allow any downloads unless it is with admin.capabilities. Other than that she should check her security tabs in the internet connections from control panel and make sure they are on default levels, as sometimes a firewall may set them higher.
