Unable to change my hosts file

i wanted to block the acrobat update download by changing the hosts file.
i had spybot installed.but i have uninstalled it and even then i cant change it.

Even if i am entered as administrator i cant change it.

it shows something like :
Cannot create the C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file.

Make sure that the path and filename are correct.

please help !!!

what exactly are you doing to get that error?

have you browsed to the file? Does it exist? Can you open it? when you edit and try to save what message do you get?
Can you do a save as?
