I just bought this PCI Controller because my Motherboard's Secondary IDE fried. I loaded the drivers for the card and powered off and put my hard drive on the card's primary channel. Booted up and it worked.
Now I turn the computer back off again and plug in one of my CDROMs on the Secondary Channel of the card (with Master Jumper setting). Boot it back up and it works except the computer just freezes when I get to the desktop. When i try my other CDROM it does the same thing (have tried different cables too)
Now I boot back up with just the hard drive attatched. Everything is smooth. I know these CDROMs work because I tried them on a friends computer.
Finally my question is... Could there be any conflicts with the OS, entries in the registry, IRQ, anything? I know any help is limitted because you cant see what its doing firsthand. Ill give any details I can.
