typing question here how do you type dvd + (plus) and - (minus) together what i mean is on top of one another like dvd+_ but with the minus underneath the plus (as i do some reviews of burners)tried everything but im compleatly stuck

hold down alt, and then press 0177 on the numeric pad (with number lock on). Alt-0177
Also, you can go start->run and then type charmap
That program will let you copy the character to the clipboard, so that you can paste it in another window

go to the character map (start, programs, accessories, system tools), and its there under Arial, roughly middle of the page

Where is the target for character map, So I can make a shortcut to the desktop to play with it myself till I get used to using enough to know?

To get the target of the charater map do the following. Start, Programs, Accessories, Right Click Character Map. There you should see the target. Now go about making a shortcut to the desktop do the following. Highlight where it says ex:%SystemRoot%\System32\charmap.exe, right click and copy.
1-Right click on desktop 2-New 3-Shortcut 4-Windows pop up and in that space your target should look like this %SystemRoot%\System32\charmap.exe 5-next window that pops up will want you to name it type in Chracter Map.
