Hi,

Looking for the cheapest solution for surveillance camera in my house so that i could monitor the situation from my office. Two camera is needed.

Is it possible to install 2 webcam in 1 computer? If yes, must they be of same brand/model? Thinking of using MSN as the media.

Any other suggestions are welcome too.

Thanks

You would use msn if going from site to site not if you are just local. Local is web cam physically connected to your pc.

Unless you are going to watch those cameras 7x24 they will be a waste. This is why traditional security cameras have DVR's.

You can connect two web cams of different makes to a PC but monitoring them remotely will be a wast of time unless you have a DVR.

You can get software that will allow you to view a remote web cam but it is not very good if security is your objective.
