Hey, I have onboard sound and a sound card both installed. I'd like to output the same signal to both. How can I do this?

you can't.
By default the onboard sound will be shut down when the pci sound card is installed.

Oh, and the on board sound is the only one outputting sound, not the PCI card (which is installed and updated properly).

The on-board sound usually has to be disabled manually in the BIOS if you're using a PCI card. If you try running both you'll find you either end up with conflicts because they are both trying to access the system at the same time, or one is just ignored.

What are you trying to achieve from having two cards? - if it's extra outputs then a cheap external amplifier might be more what you're looking for.

You can run 2 PCI sound cards just fine. We used to do this as a cheap means for multitrack recording before the price of multitrack cards were reasonable.
