Here it is, i recently had an error on home edition so i bought Windows Pro and installed it. I see its way better, but when i startup Windows Home Edition is still a selection. I'm guessing it is dead because when i choose it it restarts my computer. When i choose Windows XP Pro it works fine. How can i get rid of this two selection thing, I just want a regular startup with Windows XP Professional.

How did you installed XP Pro? Did you overwrite XP Home or did you installed it on its own partition?

Go to Control Panel/ System. Select Advanced and go to Settings under Startup and Recovery. Click Edit and you will have boot.ini displayed. Delete the line for XP Home and make sure the default points to Windows Professional.
I suspect that somewhere you may still have the residual files from XP Home. These can be deleted once you are into XP Professional.
