This question exposes the non-existant level of my computer knowledge. No laughing, you guys! Can I have 2 operating systems at the same time on my computer? I have ME and like it. I would like to get XP but am concerned about certain drivers for all my peripherals. Also, other unforseen problems. I use this computer in my business and can't afford any 'down time'. I have 30 GB Harddrive but when I check my use I never have used more than 2.9 GB. Computer is very fast no problems. Can XP and ME coexist?. Thank you.

If you want to partition your drive, get the lastest version of partition magic. Then install xp on the new partion. Note that if you choose to use NTFS for windows xp, any files that you have in the XP partition, you wont be able to access through windows ME, but you will still be able to access all the FAT32 files of WinMe through WIN XP. If you want full access from both OS then you have to format the new partition using FAT32, which is not as good as NTFS. You'll have to decide
