I foolishly used the 'repair icons' option on the latest version of TweakUI and all the funky new XP icons were replaced with chunky old ones. It has affected the look and feel of all the icons on the system (they're all chunky without that nice smoothness we've come to love in XP).
The only way I have found of getting them back is to switch to 32bit screen resolution, but this slows down my PC.
Can anyone think of a way of getting the XP icons back in 16bit res?

Use system restore and stop messin about with things you now nowt about!!!!!!!

ZoneAlert what an uncallled for retort-at least you gave a solution. We all have to start our learning process somewhere.
Mind you the world does need more lerts.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. Unfortunately, there were no system restore points available (I'd already thought of that one).
I'm using TweakUI XP, I suspect that the 'repair icons' feature has pulled the original icons from the apps themselves rather than using the new ones in Shell32.dll; I cannot think of a way to restore them. Oh well, 32 bit resolution it is then!

I did the same mistake.
I tried to fix another problem (No drop shadow on icon-labels, unless a backgound picture is showing). And did the Evil Rebuild Icons in TweakUI XP.
POFF! and all the nice icons where gone. A system restore from yesteryday saved my day.Hope they either fix the apparent BUG! in TweakUI XP or put back "Show icons with all possible colors"
Have a colorful x-mas

I have the same problem, when I try to use System Restore it restarts my PC and then says: No changes have been made, choose another restore point. My video board doesnt allow 32 bit colors in 800x600 resolution, please help!!!!!!!!!!!!
