How far apart are we talking? How many ghz is this running at? The card is matched with the linksys? Can you buy a longer antenna for the linksys? Nothing you can do about the wireless card that I am aware of.

Only alternatives that you have (short of buying a special antenna for the router, which can run into more than just a few dollars) are to try relocating the router (sometmes just a few feet can make a difference in signal) and playing with the alignment of the twin antennae. While 60 feet is not far, anything except open space between the router and the wireless PC -- especially metal objects -- can signifcantly affect signal strength. Also, the operation of microwave ovens and 2.4 mhz cordless phones can kill the wireless signal.
