I have Windows XP with a GeForce4 MX 440 card and have the TV Output running through my video player and TV. I've tried numerous graphics drivers but am having problems getting one that works through my video and TV in colour.

Some don't work at all and others only work through the TV in black and white. I found two drivers that do show the picture on the TV in colour and they are NVIDIA 2.9.5.8 and 2.8.3.2. Only problem is a lot of programs/games I try don't like these older drivers and ask me to update to the latest graphics driver. I've been advised to use at least 44.03 or higher for better functionality and performance, but I can't find one that still works in colour (I just finished trying 56.72 but still only get a black and white picture).

I'm located in Australia so my TV output should be B/PAL - however I've even tried changing the settings on the driver to NTSC and B/PAL etc but still get black and white. (My video player can accept NTSC and B/PAL signals so I don't think it's the video player). As I mentioned, there are a couple of earlier drivers that work fine in colour so I know it's not the cable, video or TV equipment.

Can someone tell me which driver might work and what is causing the problem?

Hmm... well I could not get any output at all from my FX5700 Ultra...

I wanted to record 3D games direct to my camcorder.. this program solved the issue..

It has LOADS of tweaking capabilities...

Good luck

Try changing your S-Video/Composite setting.

Thanks, I still haven't solved the problem though. I've changed the setting from S-Video to Composite to Auto detect but it doesn't make any difference to the colour. Running out of ideas!

I have same problem although use I/PAL in UK.

Have tried all drivers, settings, disconnecting monitor, then re-booting, also tried using converter to merge s-video into composite and tried connecting both directly into A/V sockets & also via SCART adaptor block. Still b/w!

Have you had any luck Steve? In any event I should be obliged if you would point me to driver 2.9.5.8 as I cannot find same. I promise I will give a progress report!
