Hello...

Wonder if anyone can help.. I am running XP on a standalone machine and have a couple of hard drives. One of which (E:) is used simply as a storage drive, therefore I have filled it. BUT XP tells me every 10 mins or so that I have Low disk space on E: which is really annoying, as I have 46 meg free and the only things which get written to that disk are manually written.

a. Is it possible to alter the amount of space free which triggers this message..?

b. Is it possible to turn the repetion of the message off...?

c. is is possible to turn the message totally off(and if so can I leave it on, on one drive but not the other)...?

Thanks for any help...

It is a feature in tweak ui on the taskbar option.
you will see the check box when you open the gui.
if you dont have it then here is a link :-)

I have now found how to stop it repeating by simply closing the Disk icon in the taskbar (doh!)...

So now it's not so irritating... (Except for having to do this each time I startup..)

Navigate to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer] and look for the data key "NoLowDiskSpaceChecks" and set its value to 1 to disable low disk space check

Done :)
