Hey all.

I want to turn on the screensaver password, like in earlier versions of Windows, to prevent people from having any access to my computer at all. Really I want to prevent people from turning it off. I already have a lock for the front panel of my computer case, and it's really bloody hard to get unplug it or hit the PS switch, so all that remains is to disable people from having access to my windows shut down.

Ideas?

If you crawl thru administrative tools there is an option which disables non administrators from shutting down/restarting the system. Problem solved.

I appreciate the help, but you both forgot something.

You can STILL turn off the computer when at the welcome screen. See that little icon in the bottom left? Yep. The shut down button.

I need a method to lock ALL access to my computer, including it's ability to turn off.

Good idea Rob, I found it pretty easily. The only problem is, when at the welcome screen people can still turn off the computer. I tried it. Oh well. It's not like I need fast user switching with only one user on this computer.
