Comment:

Following a recent disaster, I was advised by my PC manufacturer to repair the Windows XP Home installation from my Recovery Disc -since when, on selecting "Start - Turn Off Computer" I get a window with drop-down options to Shut Down, Restart, etc instead of the original window with three buttons: Standby, Turn Off & Restart. Is there a way to restore the version I had at first?
Thanks to anyone kind enough to reply,
Peter
