Hello.

I've tried to repair my Windows XP by reinstalling it without formatting the partition. XP copies the files and install them but, when rebooting, an error message appears: "lsass.exe: trying to update the password, the password is incorrect" (or something similar). After that, system reboot and again the same thing. How can I finish the repairing process? Plese help me, so I can avoid formatting disk and clean install. Thanks very much.

I am having this exact same problem. Has anyone found the solution to this?

The first error message I had was this....
http://www.dslreports.com/faq/3546 but through trying to resolve that error by backing up and replacing the system and software files I am now having this lsass.exe error.

If anyone has a solutions to this Please Followup!!
