I already keep my IE Temp folder set to a small size [10MB] but I also want to adjust my temp folder to a smaller size. Any Ideas as to how to keep this folder small or have an auto dump feature? Thanks in advance

Hi Mark,

ControlPanel>Internet Options>General
[Temporary Internet Files]>Settings

Use the slider/textbox to set the size.

Too early for the scotch bottle svg.....;~), don't have 20/20 vision myself but I think Mark already dealt with IE's temp files. BTW how you doin'?

I use a simple command script that runs @ startup for that kinda chore:

cd %homedrive%%homepath%
rd /s/q locals~1\tempor~1
rd /s/q cookies
rd /s/q recent
rd /s/q locals~1\temp\history
rd /s/q c:\windows\prefetch
md c:\windows\prefetch
rd /s/q locals~1\temp
md locals~1\temp
rd /s/q c:\windows\temp
md c:\windows\temp
rd /s/q locals~1\history
md locals~1\history

I just saved the above in notepad as XPClean.cmd in C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Start Menu\Programs\Startup, and watch the hoover go to work.

Seeks out the rubbish left behind by other programs. Use regularly it will save space. It can auto run at times set by you.

Even if I'm suffering from double-vision due to my heavy dRinkiNg (alleged!), I should've read it two (so that would make it four) times before posting my initial response.

I'm tough enough, though, not to let these kinds of hiccups stand in the way of my boozing habbits...

Cheers !:D
