Hi. Thank you for the suggestions on how to get rid of the pop ups and spyware I have. I just want to know if anyone knows of a free Adaware download. It's been suggested by many of you, and I wanted to know there is a free download somewhere.

Also, I am about to download SpybotS&D. I already have McAfee installed, and the scan for a virus already cleaned up the virus it had. Now, I'm trying to get off the pop ups and spyware.

Thank you.

You can download it loads of places - even the maker's site - Lavasoft. There are commercial versions as well as the free one - try the link below to get to one of them:

Also install SpywareBlaster; it blocks the pests when they try to invade... Its'also a freebie downlaod.

Once you have AdAware/SpyBot/SpywareBlaster (and also CWShredder) installed, update their respective reference files and then scan fully. Maintain weekly (even twice weekly) updates of the files. Also install/maintain a firewall - Zonealarm being the usual freebie.
