Trying to Enable add-ons

Specs: Windows XP, I don't know, can't even
I'm having a real problem. One day I went on Internet explorer and the info bar told me that "Internet Explorer is currently running with add-ons disabled" and the "Manage add-ons" option in TOOLS was grey (but I fixed that with the help of Computing.Net) SO I decided to delete Adobe Flashplayer and thought that when I opened Ie, the info bar would say "The current Active X control is needed..." bla bla bla so I could install it again. But the problem now is that the info bar keeps saying "Ie currently running w/ add-ons disabled" so I cant install flashplayer because it won't show on the info bar. I even tried going on the actual Adobe Official website but I still need the info bar and that darn "Ie currently running w/ add-ons disabled" keeps showing up on every page but I don't know if that's what's blocking the "Please install Active X" thingy. I even closed the info bar which said "Internet Explorer is currently running with add-ons disabled."

Please help me... I need back the Adobe Flash Player Software really bad. *THANX*

okay 1st thing you should do is to make sure that you are not running the "No add-ons" mode. Make sure you click on the correct internet explorer link.

next, go to tools>options and go to the "Security" tab. In the box with 4 icons below, click on internet. far to the bottom right of it, pay attention to the slider. make sure it is at medium or medium-high and not high. then, just to make sure, click on the "custom level..." button. scroll down to "download signed ActiveX controls" and make sure its setting is Prompt or enabled (i recommend prompt). i hope that was helpful and merry christmas haha
