I had to reformat my hard drive and reinstall Windows XP. I loaded all my drivers that came with the machine, etc. However, when I plug in my ethernet cable and try to set up a broadband connection, I am unable to connect to the Internet.
The Ethernet light on back of computer is lit, as is the Internet light on my Westel modem.
What am I missing? I'm on a Win 7 computer now...
If you were infected & had to format, hope you deleted ALL the partitions first & then formatted. "What am I missing?"
Did you install your motherboard drivers?
Have a look in Device Manager.
