Reply: (edit)Two very good free tools SUPERAntispyware (SAS) and Malware Bytes AntiMalware (MBAM) are at the links below: Download SAS Free Edition from here Click here to to start MBAM download Download, install and update them but don't run them just yet. Have a look through add / remove programs in control panel for TrustedAntivirus and any other program that's related and uninstall. Don't worry if they aren't there. Boot into "Safe Mode" using the F8 key during start-up method. Never boot into safe mode with msconfig method when dealing with malware as this can cause boot-loop Run the full / complete scans with both programs and let them fix everything they find. Reboot. You can run another scan in normal mode to see if anything was left behind.

Reply: (edit)Yes I did. I've searched for a bunch of different things, but none of the programs that have been suggested on other boards or though there will work to get rid of it. I also don't have money to pay for registration to any of the products (hence why I'm also not taking my comp in to get profesisonally fixed).

Reply: (edit)It does appear that SAS suggested by btk1w1 is a fully functional 15 day free trial as noted at the bottom of their screen. Give it a try.

Reply: (edit)Perry, it's against the rules on this site to post more than one thread for the same issue. Since you've done that, both posts will probably be removed. Life's more painless for the brainless.
