Trouble w/ Windows XP when it starts up

Whenever I restart windows, a blue screen pops up that wont let me get to the main blue screen -- the screen where you login and go to windows. Instead, a blue screen pops up that says something about "making sure previously installed software was installed correctly" or something like that. And then it says at the bottom "Disable BIOS memory options such as cachin or shadowing."
What exactly does this mean and how do I fix it? I can get into safe mode, now what? Any help would be very appreciated!! Thank you.
Believe it or not I had the same problem. You should look for an update for your BIOS, one new enough for WinXP. My video would Blue Screen Of Death at random, and would tell me to disable video and BIOS caching. And if you have an older setup, motherboard and video, you may just be SOL. Consider an upgrade to an XP supported rig. Hope that helps.

It might happen due to a system change from new hardware (or software) being added.
