I'm trying to use the Kodak Easy Share software that came with my digital camera, and when I try to burn the pictures onto a disc, it says that the software cannot detect a CD-R drive. I know that I have a burner because I have used it to burn pictures before, and I just had my hard drive wiped, so maybe thats a problem. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Load the chipset and other drivers for your mboard. You should always do that after you have made a fresh install after Setup has finished so that Windows has all the proper information about your mboard, including the hard drive controllers.
Your burner drive may not be recognized as a burner drive until it is in it's faster mode, and Windows must have the proper info about the hard drive controllers in order for it to do that.

Some burning programs detect the burner from a list of burners included in the setup files.Visit the software website to check for a possible update that would include the burner model you have.Good luck.

Hi all,

Just for the heck of it try dragging your pictures to the CD drive and see what happens. If it works then your system recognizes the burner.

Good luck, Bob

If you wake up to see the day - it can't be that bad.
