Hi Becky,
More info is needed....OS, etc.
To find out your operating system, just right click on the icon 'my computer' and it will tell you your OS and Ram in your machine.
The Blaster and the sasser virus will restart your PC.
Stinger should help you find those...HTH

Bicky, restart in Safe Mode by rebooting and tapping F8 repeatedly; when the computer boots into Safe Mode, log in as Administrator, not your user name. Now see if your computer still reboots. If it does, your problem most likely is not a virus, but something else.

If it does not start rebooting, hold down Control and Alt at the same time, and tap Delete once. Task Manager will pop up, go to Processes and see what is listed there. If there are only 10 or less, write them down and post them here.

Also, you can probably run your antivirus program from Safe Mode and scan your harddrive (I'm not sure about this, but it won't hurt to try).

Post back with your results.

Information you should have entered above is
helpful to others for helping you.

OS is Operating System (Win XP Home or XP Pro)

CPU/RAM
CPU is the type of Processor in your computer
and its speed.
RAM is how much RAM memory you have.
For me I would put P4,1.5/512 MB

Right click My Computer,
then Properties.
All the above information can be found on the
General tab.

System Manufacturer is who made your computer.
------------------------
Right click My Computer,
Properties,
Advanced tab,
Settings button (Starup and Recovery),
uncheck Automatically Restart.

Now you should get an error message when it happens again.
------------------------
Is your problem happening when you are on the Internet ???

If your problem is a trojan, you'll find a couple of reliable online scanning services here and here.
