Why did you repeat yourself? Anyway I would download Spybot S&D. Just type into Google and it will bring it up for you. Run and see if it finds anything. If system restore is enabled then even though AVG may have taken care of it system restore might still have it listed in it's files.

Thanks I'll try that . Can you tell me how to disable system restore? And I have no idea why my message was repeated I only typed it once.

LOL. Things happen. Right click on my computer and go to properties. You will see a system restore tab, click on it. A box will be there that says "turn off system restore" Check it. You should get a prompt that asks if you are sure that want to turn this feature off. click yes. But please keep in mind that after you turn it off you will not be able to use it again until you turn it back on. That is done the same way. Just uncheck the box.

Hi

I wonder if you can help me get rid of it too, only I've followed your instructions but I don't have a system restore tab under My Computer (windows 98), could it be anywhere else? It's really driving me mad now, the virus checker says I haven't got one but every time I switch on, it's saying looking for aregon? and loads of other things that I have to cancel through, then it says fatal error, then illegal operation and then finally comes on OK!

Any advice appreciated, cheers from a secretary who's good at Word but knows b-all about computers!!
