I am getting the message I have the Trojan horse downloader.keenval.b virus from AVS virus software but when I run AVS newly updated download it doesn’t find anything. Any ideas what this is and how to get rid of it? Thanks Charlie

charlie, I had the same trojan on the weekend and posted as well. great responses that got rid of mine. see my post and followup help offered from April 11...

umpy9959 i seen your post to charlie and i am new here and i don't know how all this post stuff works but i have the virus also i have downloader.keenval.b and .c it is in my C:\Program Files\Common Files\Updater\Delupdat.exe and also C:\Program Files\Common Files\Updater\SUI.exe if you know how to get this off then please let me know my AVG says it is healed but it is still there and i don't like it if u can help i thank you so very much :)

to umpy9959 or anyone that can help, I have exactly the same problem as silverspirit posted to you above--- I have XP, have the same problem with using AVG to rid the trojan horse keenval virus, yet a notice still keeps popping up saying it's on my computer. I too have never used this forum so don't know how to go from here. Any assistance would be great! thanks Also I have tried to restore my system back before getting the virus but it won't restore to any previous date, don't know if this is due to the virus??
