Just last night, I got a message from my internet security system saying that I had a Trojan virus on my computer, but the message said that access to the file was blocked and that it couldn't be removed. Also, the message window refuses to close - it's still sitting on my Desktop because, whenever I try to close it, it re-appears.
I've tried scanning my system and removing the infected file, and it always says that it's removed successfully, but I keep getting the error message.
If it helps, the name of the virus was Trojan.Vundo
Any thoughts? Is there any way to get rid of this thing?
Become one with your computer.

Try: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4430.html
download and run this software.
Whenever you have a virus/spyware that you cannot get rid of copy the name into Google.com and press <Enter>. It will return with any number of web sites to assist you.Jason

Download the removal tool at the above address.

I downloaded and ran both removal programs last night, and when each was finished, they said there were 2 corrupted files found and removed. But when I restarted my system today, I was still getting the error message saying my computer is infected by the Trojan.Vundo virus, and it still won't go away when I exit the window.
I thank you guys for your help on this matter, but those removal programs haven't gotten rid of the virus for some reason. Any other thoughts?

You might try creating an anti-virus diskette and boot with that and see if it can locate and remove the virus. This feature is often available from your anti-virus software.
