Hello I just bought a new hardrive. Now i would like to transfer my whole OS and all my program files and such to the new computer Is there any good program out there to do it or wat? Also my new harddrive is much faster than my old one. Would i run into any probelms if i kept my old harddrive as backup drive to store songs and stuff? (old hd = ATA/66, new hd = ATA/100)

Well..If u cant get..then go to www.download.com and download CASPERXP,trial version, Their u can transfer your HD to another one:))Just install it,then follow the instactions,if it will say that your new HD is larger..ignore it:)
A new HD should come with a setup cd that would allow you to clone the existing hd to the new hd.

Actually Per is right...Pretty much all Western Digital HDs that I have bought have software packaged with them to copy the old HD to the new one. I am not sure what brand you have but like I said most HDs do have such software. SO chill out kurt@ and investigate before you put up a post criticizing someone about a situation you obviously do not know about.

Well I bought a Western Digital drive about a month ago, and all I got was a drive in an anti-static bag. Every drive I have ever bought came this way (WD, Seagate, IBM).
