transfer data throgh parallel port?

Can i transfer data between two computers if one is having win98 and other winxp using their parallel or serial poert??

simple answer is Yes.

You can open up hyperterminal and allocate LPT1 as you com port and you should be able to see the other machine ( transfer times are slow).

The better option would be to network the 2 machines using a crossover cable and assigning network address's to the network cards...hell of alot faster for data transfer)
