At your lower right left click the blue AOL Icon - Click - Auto Start Options - Mark don't use
any Auto Start Options - OK
If you don't have this Icon open AOL but don't sign on - Settings - Turn off auto start.
To replace missing Favorites and PFC files - America Online 9.0 Optimized SE (Look for the AOL Version your after)
First - To show hidden files and folders. (Their hidden)
Start - Control Panel - Folder Options - Show hidden files and folders. Apply - OK

(Keep in mind the names of different AOL Version will change what your searching for.)
Start - My Computer - At the top - Click Folders - Local Disk C - Documents & Settings - All Users -
Applications Data - AOL - Amercia Online 9.0a - Organize
Your pfc files are stored here. A large file without and extension. But you didn't ask for that.
This part applys to what you asked that I have saved from
someone posts.
Copy and Paste below.
Addresses are not stored in the PFC. They are stored on AOL servers. AOL Help says that you can delete the address book files yourScreenName.ABI and .ABY and they will be recreated from the server.

To find this file.
Right click Start - Explore - Program Files - America Online - Organize - Your Screen name ABI and
ABY - Delete.

Your AOL address book is saved online. not on your PC. You need not to do anything/ Just log on to AOL from any machine and your address book will be there.

If you really want to save AOL address book on your HDD. google for How To Export Your AOL Address Book. You will get many hits. Bear in mind that it will niot be easy because AOL has lots of proprietary data formats that they won't share with other e-mail/address book clients.

If you really want to put your address book into your Documents
you can set up an account with Outlook Express while using
AOL will put your mail into Outlook Express and their you can
add the sender name to your address book. It can be exported
to your Document or in my case Microsoft Works -
Address Book. To do this with AOL you will need to go to
Imap and follow instructions.
You have to have AOL to use this link.
