Hello, My laptop wont start. I dnt know too much about computers either. I havnt got the xp disk for it. What happens is it starts normally, then i get a screen with 4 options: start in safe mode, start in safe mode with command prompt, start in safe mode with networkling, start using last known good configuration start windows normally
I have tried every option and then windows xp screen starts loading and then the computer will restart itself.

Is the F8 key stuck in the down position on the keyboard? That's the menu that you would see if you press F8 at boot time.
Was something spilled on the keyboard?

i managed to get the blue screen to stay on. It says UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME

Find out what HD is in the machine. Download the diagnostic tools from their web site, create a disc and boot the machine from it. Run the tools and it will tell you if the bad blocks are repairable or not.
