Toshiba DVD-ROM SD-M1102 drive on Win XP Pro does not act like DVD drive. It looks like I just have another CD drive. What should I do to make it work?

this may sound like a stupid answer but i had a similar problem on an older toshiba latop try windvd and nemo codec pack it worked for me
