Specs: Windows XP, Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4Ghz/ 8.00 GB PC2800 Mhz FSB (SPD 5-6-6-18)
I have a PC.That have a suitable processor(Core 2 duo intel processor).Two HDD (one is SATA 160 GB & 0ne is 120 GB PATA)of speed 7200 rpm & 5400 rpm respectively.

BUT I HAVE INSTALLED 8 GB RAM IN THE FOUR CORRESPONDING DIMMS SLOTS.INTEL DG33FB MOTHERBOARD(3 SERIES BOARDS OF INTEL)CLEARLY WRITEN IN THE CONFIGRATION THAT IT CAN SUPPORT UPTO 8GB MEMORY.I HAS SEEN THAT IN THE BIOS IT IS SHOWING FULL 8 GB,,,,BUT WHEN I AM ENTERING TO THE WINDOWS XP SP3 IT IS SHOWING ONLY 3.24 GB OF RAM.

WHY????THEN HOW COULD IT BE SOVLED?????IT SHOULD SHOW MINIMUM 7.68 OR 7.00 GB OF RAM APPROX.THEN WHY IT IS SHOWING IN THE MY COMPUTER PROPERTIES ONLY 3.24 GB OF RAM...............PLEASE GIVE A SOLUTION................

If you want to make use of ALL your RAM, you need to install a 64-bit operating system. 32-bit operating systems such as XP will only recognize up to approx 3.5GB, but it's usually less.

If your XP SP3 is 32-bit, limits on physical memory is 4GB. For 64-bit XP it is up to 128GB. Which are you running?

One more thing - don't use ALL CAPS. ALL CAPS shouting like THIS.

You wrote ... CLEARLY WRITEN IN THE CONFIGRATION THAT IT CAN SUPPORT UPTO 8GB MEMORY. Did the mobo manual say Windows will support it too?
