I thought I would drop this in here because Per has been handing out a lot of beta Gmail accounts lately and thanks again Per for sending me two even though the 2nd one was a goof up I took it anyways :)

I had read some anti Gmail stuff but after reviewing Gmail I have found those anti Gmail folks are just a tad paranoid it seems. I can infact delete an e-mail forever and after reviewing Hotmails policiy which I've been using for over 5yrs it is worded just "as scary" as Gmail if you want to look at it that way.

So with that said those that have so far used Gmail what do you think? Hotmail gives ya 2megs for free, Yahoo 100megs for free and Gmail 1000megs for free. I think I'm going to like this Gmail being that I never have to worry about running out of space if someone choose to send me a picture. Again, thanks to Per for hooking me up.

Hi Kevin. I have been using it sparingly for a couple months with no problem. You are right in that you can del forever any message. I believe it will handle up to 10 mb's per message. Also, it is my understanding that there will be some additional features once it is out of beta. You are welcome. Per.

Also, you can forward to your other email accounts and if you lose them there you can go back to gmail for them as they are stored on their server.

I like it a lot!

The only problem that I've found so far is that some alternative browsers can't do everything on it yet. I use MYIE2 and I can't open my contact list or the settings unless I close out and log back in with regular IE.

It looks like it (MYIE2) can't open any of the options, but it can send and receive the email itself fine. I know the Gmail people are working on some similar problems that Firefox has and hopfully this will clear up MYIE2 also.

Other then this, I like being able to handle the large attachments that Hotmail can't.

BTW, I still have three invites available for anyone who wants them.

Yes, I cleaned it up. Folks I'm asking for input from those that are using it. If you want an invite wait till someone says they have some or visit Google and sign up for one and sit and wait. I just want feed back from those that are using it. Nothing more and nothing less.

Understood, but folks should be aware that if you visit GMail's website, they put in bold that signing up only gives you updates, it is not a waiting list for accounts.

dw226- That is true. You cannot get on the list for invites. Invites can only come from the present users.
