Time on PC clock will not stay set

March 31, 2011 at 08:23:53
Specs: Windows XP
The time on the PC is one hour behind time. This started when we switched to daylight savings time. No matter how many times the time is set if goes back. The daylight savings time has been checked and unchecked - neither one makes a difference. We are in the Eastern Time Zone.

Usually the cmos battery is the cause for the comp not keeping time, but if it keeps going back one hour then I would look for another cause.

Have you tried setting the time one hour ahead of the correct time or changing the time zone to central.

My other thought is.....does your computer automatically connect to your server....and what time zone are they in.

Daylight savings time is now ...hmmm 3 weeks earlier so perhaps they haven't adjusted their they system.
