Time not counting

Specs: Windows XP
Time in my computer is not counting when it is switched off. When I switch on, time & date will be the time and date at the time of last shut down.

Likely time for a new CMOS battery, especially if the computer is a few years old. A loss, gain, or complete stoppage of the BIOS time is a strong indicator of a battery on it's way out. I'd advise you take note of the CMOS settings, as they may also soon be lost...
