Tiff-IV image format editing

Eastman software / Imaging for windows 2.0
February 2, 2010 at 06:53:52
Specs: Windows XP
I need an image editor to correct engineering
drawings using the single bit color TIFF-IV
images. This is the black and white
used in fax transmissions and is the most
efficient for storage of engineering documents
and such as copyright and trademark info etc.
For a few years Eastman Software company
continued to sell Imaging for Windows after
microsoft removed imaging from Op sys after
Win 98. Any suggestions ?

To be more exact I think you mean. CCITT Group IV 2D compression. If you search that way you should find a suitable program.

Actually we have been using that format for almost 30 years to transmit images. It was taken from spy satellite (weather) photo transmission technology. Might be as old as the 60's or more.

Microsoft still has it available as a separate free download here, though I don't know if it will run on xp:

I found that the Win98 "Imaging for Windows" software
by EAstman Kodak was sold for many years by
Eastman Software company that was acquired
by Global360 company and they sell an updated
version to run on XP and Vista and Windows 7 for $199
It works real well.
