well i dunno if anyone knows about this but i'll give it a shot. i have a ti 83 plus calculator that i would like to connect to my computer for games and whatnot but the usb connector i borrowed did not come with software. i went to the TI site and it had software but it couldnt find the calculator even though i had it plugged in. is there any software that could help me or do i have to go and buy the package? thanks for any suggestions.

Make sure you have "plug n' play" enabled in your BIOS.

This is what Texas say:

Computer Connectivity with TI-GRAPH LINK™

TI-GRAPH LINK is your link to connecting your TI-83 to your computer. This software and cable (sold separately) allows for transferring your files and data between the calculator and computer.

Sounds like you need to pay money unfortunately!

Download either TI Connect or TI-GRAPH LINK then head on over to ticalc.org

You should be good to go.

Hope this helps,
Sandman
