When viewing websites in Internet Explorer, if the website has a lot of thumbnails on it (12 per page, for example), my weireless internet connection "stops" for about a minute after I view a page or two of thumbnails.
During this pause, none of my applications can connect to the internet. However, the wireless connection appears to still be established, it just isn't receiving or sending anything.
I have this problem no matter where I am connected (home, hotel, someone else's connection).
Does anyone know what could be wrong?

Alex, SWAG, graphics are big memory users. My guess is that when you have that many thumbs, you have used up all the available memory and triggered a 'brain cramp'. More memory is one answer, enlarging the size of your swap file might also be an alternative (you can go as large as the size of your HDD).
