For those of you that are still dropping nw mappings/connections in XP and cannot find the Microsoft patch, the following is the registry import text. The issue is due to a timeout setting. You can create a text file, paste the info in and save it as a .reg file with this info and it will correct your issue when you import it. Hope it helps as the patch is apparently difficult to find on MS's site but I got it several month's ago

Thanks for sharing Mike but I don't recall seeing anyone having this problem in the recent past.

More importantly; anyone looking for a solution to a "Network connection" dropping or otherwise won't find your fix in a search simply because you ommited the most important word in your posting being "Network" (nw).

So, the purpose of responding to your posting is simply to add the keywords to the thread so that anyone searching for a fix may find it.
