Why am I not receiving email notifications of responses? AND why must I fill in my name, email, and OS stuff for each post. I'm already registered!!??

Someone else may be able to answer this question better than I, but...
I don't think receiving an email notification of responses is possible as an option. My Computer.Net has Alert notification....
As for the login question, are you allowing cookies on your machine? And, when you login the first time, are you checking the box to remember your login information, and NOT clearing history and cookies?

Different system for this forum .
When you finsh your post , click on the My Computing.Net logo on the last page you get .
When you get a reply , you get a blue insert into the folder on the My Computing.Net page , which you click on ( on the left hand side of this page )
The fill in part , you need to have your cookies enabled & your password manager to accept & keep your logon .

Oh... I see how this works now. You don't actually have to fill in your name, email, cpu, etc. every time you post or reply to a message. If you're logged in, just leave the fields blank, and your information is filled in for you :)

Hello,
There is no e-mail system. You can use My Computing.Net message lists to track your messages. Every time you create a new thread, that thread is automatically added to your My Computing.Net message list. If you want to track a thread you didn't create, simply click the button that says, "Add this message to My Computing.Net" either in the message itself or on the followup post results page.
As for your other question, this quote is from the My Computing.Net forum settings section: "If you would like Computing.Net to automatically fill in your Name, E-mail Address, and other information, simply ensure the values below are correctly set. Once this is done, leave the fields blank when posting a message."
Justin
