I've got an external Memorex 52X CD writer attached via USB to a HP desktop running XP-PRO SP2.
If I want to make multiple copies of a CD, I have to wait until the system tells me there is no CD in the drive before I can make the next copy.
After a CD is written, the door opens and the Windows dialog box asking me if I want to make another copy pops ups. If I insert another CD and close the door, then click the box to make another copy, then click Next, the door opens a few seconds later and I get the message telling me that there is no CD in the drive. If I now close the door and click next, the CD is written.
So I've gotten into the habit of clicking the box to make another copy, then Next, wait for the No CD message, then close the door and click Next.
Why doesn't Windows accept the CD if it's in the drive when I click "Make another copy...Next"?

Try this way, put the exact message into google.
no CD in the drive

DerbyDad03,
Do you have auto CD play feature turned ON in Windows?
