I used to have a screen that when pressing START would display some default shortcuts such as IE, Email and other shortcuts that I added to the pane. It would also display all programs in two columns (only get one column now) when I pressed START....PROGRAMS.
How do I get back to that place?

Rightclick the Start button and choose properties.
Switch from classic to Startmenu.
I guess that is, what you'd like to have.
