For the last 8 weeks I have been getting the message "The page cannot be displayed" when I try to log on to certain sites such as classmates.com. As a matter of fact when I access this site I get the phrase on right side of the page. I have tried clearing my cache, deleting files in explorer. My cookies are set at medium in explorer. I am able to access encrypted sites such as banking sites and all the major sites (msn, aol etc.) with no problem. I have zone alarm firewall which I disabled but I still could not access classmates.com (which I can access from my work computer). I have Comcast broadband and use IE 6. I also use Norton Antivirus. Any suggestions.

I only use ad aware or spybot but the problem occurred well after I installed either one. Thanks for your reply.

Make sure your cookies are enabled for the Classmates site. It depends on cookies and if disabled, the page will not load.
Also, do you use McAfee at all? If so, open up the Guardian that comes with it. It blocks cookies as well. Make sure to check all the filters that come with it.

Thanks for your reply but I have done all the above. I have two operating systems on my computer. The second system is Win 2000 and I have no problem accessing Classmates.com. Keep in mind even when I access the computing.net page I get "The page cannot be displayed" on some of the frames on that page. Please let me know if you have any other suggestions. Thanks again for the reply
