Tried a couple programs to open the jpg, acdsee, adobe and the viewer that comes with XP.

Same results, in fact if I try to open the folder with the explorer, same result.

I've the same problem. But not only with one program. Well, I get the message 'unknown exception 'xxxxxxxx' at memory address 'xxxxxxxx'. The memory could not be 'written'

I have one CPS2 emulator (kawaks) that always throws this exceptiom randomly in time (at the begining) but with the same values. In other programs, like iexplorer, memory address and exception values change 'randomly'.

I'm thinking that the statement 'the memory could not be 'written'' is something that SO write when crashes and it don't know how to give a clearly reason of the crash. A pompous statement always impress, even when it hasn't meaning.

I think this is very pathetic and I don't know how to solve it. In fact, I've programs I can't use.

If someone could give a more 'exact' explication. of these paranormal chrases I'd be very very very grateful. No responses like 'may you have hardware conflicts' please, my systems worked fine and suddenly I got these chrases.

sorry i can't help with your problem, but when it says 'the memory can not be written', the OS has detected that one program is trying to write to the address space allocated to another program.
