In the Regional & language Options, did you deselect the Show the Language bar on the desktop check box?

Hi Josh C, XpUser, hello everyone,

Josh C,

That issue occurs when have more than one service within Regional and Laguage Options.

Your default setting will be in bold. All other services will not be in bold. On mine for example is English. Under that is Keyboard. The services are listed under Keyboard; US and one I added,
United States-Devorak, which is not bold.

Removing the additional service, such as United States-Devorak in this case, will remove the language bar and it will not show up again upon a reboot.

Another way to remove it is to uncheck ctfmon within msconifg, startup.

Click on Start. and Run..

Type msconfig and click OK.

Select the StartUp tab.

Uncheck CTFMON..

Click on Apply. and OK.

Restart the computer when prompted.

Best Regards,
Mesich
