I was testing an WinNT password change utility that runs under Linux. It seemed to work fine, until later that day I was forced to log off because of logon hours restriction. I didn't have any logon hours policy. I could only get into that account during certain hours. So I created a new account and tried to get rid of the old one.
From "Computer Management - Local Users and Groups", I try to delete user "Fred" - (name changed to protect the innocent) - and get the error: "The following error occurred while attempting to delete the user Fred: The group name could not be found." When I try to view groups for that user I get same error: "The following error occurred while attempting to read the properties for the user Fred: The group name could not be found."
Anyone know how I can get rid of that account, whether by Linux utility, command prompt, registry, etc?
